We specialize in treating

Mild to moderately severe depression

Depression is a mood disorder that makes you feel sad or disinterested in the world around you. Normal sadness may come and go, but depression lasts for at least two weeks and includes additional symptoms. It can also interfere with your ability to function in everyday life.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Seasonal Affective Disorder is a form of depression marked by mood changes during the fall and winter months that interfere with daily life. Symptoms improve or disappear when the days get longer in the spring.

Postpartum & Menopause Depression

After a woman gives birth, hormonal fluctuations and other factors may lead to depression and anxiety. The hormonal fluctuations that accompany menopause can lead to similar mood changes.

  • Unlimited messaging with your medical team about your treatment plan
  • Resources for online therapy services or mental health apps

Affordable, regardless of coverage

We bill insurance for your medication, and copays average $5-$10/month. The out-of-pocket price for most medication is $25 per month.

Depression treatment

If medically appropriate, your Nurx medical provider will create a depression treatment plan for you after reviewing your health history and symptoms. Initial treatment is usually daily medication called a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), and Nurx prescribes and delivers a few different SSRIs as well as other medications (SNRIs, tricyclics, bupropion and trazodone). Individual factors determine which medication will be most effective and our medical provider will partner with you to get it right. Treatment usually works best when combined with non-medical therapy such as talk therapy.

Nurx is Great !

I've been with nurx a few years now and have referred them to a lot of women in my family. They work well with you to change medications if it's not a right fit and you can speak to a real doctor about any concerns. I get it shipped right to my house and don't have to worry about missing any medication!
